Concordia St. Paul Chapel Remodeling

St. Paul, MN

When Concordia called they had recently finished adding a large gathering space adjacent to their chapel, but had neglected the chapel itself.  Working with the University’s budget of $250,000,  Busch Architects prepared optional improvement ideas to share with the staff; several ideas were selected and implemented.  Stained glass window openings were enhanced with a trimmed border, ugly heat radiators were covered with a linear decorative grill enclosure, the old maple floor was rediscovered, sanded, and refinished, and new glass doors were installed at the main entrance.  Busch Architects also designed furnishings for the space including an ambo, table, font and hanging cross.
