Church of St. Austin

Minneapolis, MN

The project at Saint Austin included installing an elevator that allowed access to their large lower level fellowship hall.  But finding a location was difficult – there was little room to build outside of the original building and the interior was so efficiently done that there was very little leftover space.  But there was the old baptistry – which they hadn’t used in years.  The new elevator was built in the center of the silo-shaped baptistry which turned out be be a very convenient, yet natural place for the elevator.

The lower level fellowship hall was pretty raw space which we improved with new lighting, ceilings, flooring, and paint.  The project also involved remodeling of the reredos which had always been “too busy” and remodeling of the lower level restrooms.
