This historic, circa 1903 mansion on Mount Curve Avenue had been lovingly restored over the years but there was still a few missing pieces to the puzzle. The owner desired a swimming pool and there was also the old, 5,000 square feet “horse barn” that was attached to the rear of the house that needed attention. Marry those together and you have a new pool placed in the center of the horse barn with a built-in deck and plenty of mechanical and storage space around the pool.
Using the horse barn also meant losing the garage space so the project also included construction of a 5-car garage and pool house above the garage. Atop the pool house is a roof deck that overlooks the pool and provides great city views to the north.
